This historic 17th century building is the perfect setting for a unique and memorable stay in Rome. It is a hosted B&B located on the 4th floor offering wonderful views of the city from the large terrace, but due to the age of the building there is no elevator. A beautiful family home, it is elegantly decorated with period and contemporary furniture. The home has many special details such as hardwood floors with creative inlayed designs, impressive antique furniture, big picture windows and a lovely, large, landscaped terrace with views of the city. Located right by the Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica on via dell’ Olmata, the area offers a real true of Rome. Here you will find yourself near many sights of interest. The Colosseum and the Forum are just a 5 minute walk, the Piazza Venezia is 3 minutes, the “Quirinale”-the president’s residential palace- is also just a 3 minute walk, the via Nazionale with its great shopping and dining is a 5 minute walk and the ever popular Spanish Steps is just a 15 minute stroll. Your kind host offers 4 guest rooms in his comfortable home. There is an elegant red double room with antique carved walnut bed and two twin rooms, one with inlayed parquet and the other with hardwood floors laid in an intricate pattern. There is just one bathroom between them. It is either shared between the rooms when traveling together as 1 party or private to one room alone. There is also a large double room with en suite bathroom. This pretty room has two large windows, inlayed floors and beautiful antique dresser. At the host's discretion, there is a lounge available where guests can relax. A continental breakfast is served to you in the dining room. Your host is most kind and helpful.
