This residence is like a private retreat in the middle of the busy city, The owner calls it his "casale", the name for a country style residence and yet it is within walking distance of the Vatican. In fact there is a wonderful view of the dome of St. Peters Cathedral from just outside the home which is even more spectacular at night when the dome is floodlit. This property is set in a hilly, leafy, quiet and safe residential neighborhood where you will quickly feel at home.

The host has his own family residence on the property and offers two independent unhosted apartments, each set on two floors, with an upstairs double bedroom and a ground floor lounge, kitchenette and bathroom (with a shower). Each lounge can be used as a sleeping area for a third person. These almost identical apartments face out onto a common garden courtyard with tables and chairs and sun umbrellas, which is a lovely additional place to relax or dine "al fresco" day or night. There is air conditioning in the apartments and a wifi internet connection and television in the dining / lounge area.

The home is also walking distance to the St. Pietro rail station, which can take you to the Termini station downtown in just a few minutes. Alternately it is just a couple of minutes cab ride across the river Tiber to the Piazza Navona and Spanish steps areas in the heart of downtown or along the riverbank to the medieval Trastevere area.
You can also walk to the neighboring Janiculum hill, which is 15–20 minutes by foot from the home. From the top of the hill you have an extensive view of the city including an incredible overview of the Vatican City.
